It's a big issue. People just aren't nice anymore. I believe in the goodness but sometimes when I see a blog that talks about fat people as being a hinderance, I feel embarrassed to be part of the human species. I want to know stories about kindness, I don't want to see them on the TV, I want to hear and know it exists within us. Kind of schmarm but throw me a bone, please!!!

Hey, I know what you mean. But there is kindness in the world and I am going to share with you something that happened to me recently. You see, I am in graduate school and I am out of financial aid and I can't get a loan. I am only a couple of months away from getting my PhD and I will be suspended if I don't pay my tuition. Out of desperation, I went to a site called ChipIn, where they give you a page and you can tell the world what you need money for. So I made my page and put out my beggar's shingle, really not expecting anything but it made me feel like I was doing something when there is nothing left to do. The next day, a complete stranger made a contribution to my cause! A complete stranger. It was not much, and I have a long way to go, but you have to be a special person to give away money to someone you don't even know. That was a generous and kind thing for this person to do, and they will be blessed for their thoughtfulness.
