Holidays Are Almost Here

I have the Christmas web page now because I'm just so giddy about Christmas. Maybe I'm getting overly excited about the holidays but I get to spend it with my family. Also, having an online business means I'll be nice and busy! Everyone loves the voodoo dolls as stocking stuffers as well as a lucky talisman for the beginning of the New Year. It's a one stop shop for some, getting gifts for family, colleagues and friends.

The Silly Debate ABOUT these cute little voodoo dolls

I have been in business with these little string dolls since last year. It's a ton of fun and I love playing with the dolls. I am noticing that other people in the industry are putting a stake in the dolls. I have seen certain companies stating that they carry the original doll and their doll is the real deal. Well, that's cool and all but actually there are a number of companies that got their hands on the exact same dolls. It's not like a Louis Vuitton purse because these other dolls are NOT replicas. They are made by the same people in Northern Thailand with the same tags and characters. There are a lot of different companies selling these dolls too with questionable quality. It is safe to say that those are NOT the real deal but for the handful of companies selling the authentic and original Saan_Ha string voodoo dolls, don't insult us by suggesting that ours aren't the real thing. I understand the value of branding but they're always just going to be a $10-$12 item anyway.

2008 Travels and the dolls we brought home with us

Well, we survived 2 REALLY bad flues in Chiang Mai Thailand as well as a 2 day trip in a slow boat into Laos. Did I mention the highway that is protected by guards in Laos because bandits have been known to kill bus loads of tourists? Oh yes, and the snakes in Chiang Mai being handled by drunken thais. Maybe it was the new dolls?

Human Kindness

It's a big issue. People just aren't nice anymore. I believe in the goodness but sometimes when I see a blog that talks about fat people as being a hinderance, I feel embarrassed to be part of the human species. I want to know stories about kindness, I don't want to see them on the TV, I want to hear and know it exists within us. Kind of schmarm but throw me a bone, please!!!
